Grandpa Harry & The Inklings was a pop-up roaming performance that took place during Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho. Inspired by the vintage animations of Max Fleischer (Betty Boop, Koko the Clown), Grandpa Harry traveled through the streets of downtown Boise to activate local bars, coffee shops, alleys, and sidewalks with a parade of clowns looking to help their elderly grandfather reach his next destination. The work enlisted dancers from Ballet Idaho, Project Flux, and other freelance performers in the area to engage public audiences of the music festival and invite them into the strange itinerary of Grandpa Harry.
